I'm actually astounded it's only now reliced gear is being made. I always thought the look of beat pedals and amp cabinets was cool.

But, I'll do it myself thank you.

relic'd guitars at least have a certain feel to them... very broken in and nice...

if it isn't your thing.. no worries....

but the pedal just looks pretty ugly.. but hey. if it works.. whatever.

you're confused by the relic thing?

have you been in a mall in the past 5 years? it's hard to find regular blue jeans anymore, they all come with the chew can ring, holes in the knees and look like they've been pissed in...

That is a limited edition pedal made to look like the original. while it is reliced, it is reliced for a reason, not just to relic to make it look old.

I shop in the adult sections at Sears, Macy's, Nordstrom, etc. They have normal, un-pre-trendified clothing. I'm sure when my kids are older, I'll be more aware of these fads of which you speak. But as it is, I'm just a normally dressed guy and not a hipster, much to my bland dismay.

I actually get a lot of my 'stage wear' at nordstroms. They carry true religion jeans, ed hardy, lucky brand, etc.

I bought a pair of pre-faded, 'distressed' levis at sears just recently, too.

And it was all in the 'adult' section, fwiw.

You know, I'm not weighing in on the relic guitar thing. It's been done to death and I've got nothing new to add to the debate. However....I just think this is assinine.

I don't think it looks any sillier than the swirly paint jobs.
