Pickup Suggestions for PRS

I need suggestions for pickups that will work well in my PRS Custom 22. Currently, there are EMG's in the guitar(the way it was when I obtained it), and it sounds good. But I would like to try some passive pickups. I am sure a set of PRS pickups would work well, but thought I would check out alternatives. What pickups have worked well for others in a PRS Custom 22?

Also, will I need to change out the pots or other electronics when switching from EMG's to passive pickups?

Thanks

WCR Godwood set or a Suhr SSV SSV+ set

Both are a step up from everything I have tried from the major makers.

Gibson '57 Classics are fine pickups. I wouldn't waste 'em on a PRS.

I'm a huge fan of PRS 7's, smooth, dark, creamy with an amazing mid range sweetness. If you want something a bit hotter, i'd recommend asking Burn on HC what pickup she has in his CU24. I bought a guitar off him last week and he was playing his Custom 24, and it sounded pretty awesome.

I have the Suhr Aldrich set in my PRS Custom 22 and they are staying -the best this guitar ever sounded. Before that I had the original Dragon II's, Duncan JB, Duncan Custom and WB Firewaters. I should add....the Duncan Custom w/ the pearly gates neck sounded nice too.

I've got a Duncan C5/AIIP in my Cu22 and it covers all grounds of music and does it well. I've been wanting to try some other sets too and here are couple that I'm thinking about trying:

  • WCR Black Magics - Jim voiced these to the PRS unique design and voicing.
  • WB Firewaters - Will also voiced these pups with PRSi in mind.
