1st Jethro Tull album - P90 heaven!

Mick Abrahams played an SG Special w P90 through a Marshall or a Sound City, I think.
Listen to "Beggars Farm" or "Cats Squirrel". Thats tone heaven to me!
Sweet, clangy and raunchy P90 tone !

I believe Martin Barre also used a single cut LP Jr for Aqualung. Great tone.

Yeah, and he used a DC Les Paul Special for "Stand Up".

Cat's Squirrell -- great tone! But it's that beautiful reverb that knocks me out. Anyone know how he did that?

I thought Mick played a SG Standard (humbuckers) back then..? At least he did with Blodwyn Pig shortly afterward. Amp wise, I read an interview w him where he said it was a 50 watt marshall thru an 8 x 10 cab. The reverb sounds like a studio unit, the way it fades in and out on cat's squirrel.
That's a desert island/ satellite capsule blues rock cut !

Not to mention "See My Way" and "Walk On The Water".

"Ahead Rings Out" is an amazing record, still.

Hey Steve, good to hear from you, Dana O.
