KoT waiting list

I signed up today, because the site said I could, is it worth the wait? Also, it lists pricing for v2 and v4, is the Aman only building v4 these days?

IMO, it is definitely worth the wait. It is one of the best and most versatile pedals I have ever used. I think when your name comes up, you can choose either v2 or v4 (this information may be dated though).

SO, IYO, do I go v2 or v4? You have a year to answer, lol.

I waited around two years, I think. Chose V4. I figured why not spend a couple more bucks and get two tone controls. That was my only gripe with the ZIM.
I used it last weekend in place of my TS-9 Silver mod and Zendrive and I gotta say it's pretty cool. Left the internal DIP switches in the stock positions. Had the low gain side with the volume all the way up, drive around 9 o'clock, tone around 2-3 o'clock for a good volume/treble boost. That pushed my already-cranked amp over the edge but no mid hump. It pretty much sounded like I had walked back and kicked the volume up a few notches on my amp. As transparent as an OD can be, no mid hump like a TS-9.
The dirtier side I had set-up with the drive almost all the way up and the volume a lil bit louder than unity for a good rhythm crunch. Even with the drive up that far, it wasn't what you'd call 'high gain' (probably not as much gain on tap as the Zendrive, I think, but that's probably where the DIP-switches come into play) but into an amp that's already broken up it's pretty saturated. Then kick on both sides for a mega-rock lead-boost overdriven monster-face moment.

But I digress, yes, get on the wait-list. Eventually you'll forget about it and one day you get the e-mail. You have the choice of ver 2, ver 2 jumbo, or ver 4. If space is a concern, try ver 2, otherwise just get ver 4. Worst-case scenereo: you hate it and get to make twice your money back here or on ebay.

There is a v4 up on the emporium right now for $335 (no affiliation). Best price I've seen outside of your name coming due with Mike.

get on the list. my name came up a few weeks ago, is totally worth it. i've got it right now, used it tonight ALL night long. i don't think i hit on the boost side, just yellow side into my stulce and occasionally a red snapper. fantastic rythym tones, thick and punchy.

I like v4 because it has seperate tone controls for each channel. It is a little larger, but not much- if you have the space, I would highly recommend v4.

I just got mine last week after a 2 year wait.

I had the option of a v2 or a v4, I went with the v4. When my number came up I wondered if it was worth it...but I went ahead and bought it.

I've only had about 3 hours of playing with it so far. My first impressions are that it was worth the wait.

great pedal...I'm on the list and in the meantime traded into a V4...wouldn't mind a second one for my other board...
