So I'm involved in this relationship with a tweed Bassman and it's getting serious...

Every time I take her out for spin its magic. Seriously, I never thought that much of the amp when I first got it but the more I play it -MAN. And with the pedal combinatons I've collected - this thing can do it all with some very serious balls against the proverbial wall. At times I wish I had a smaller combo with a master volume & reverb but it's true - the 45410 Vicky just KNOWS THE F'N SCORE. My EJ Strat into it is like playing a vintage Martin HD28. It breaths and has a presence in the mix that I've yet to find in other amps. MB rocks.

Others, feel free to chime in. I'm very curious to know what pedals are popular among other 5F6 circuteers out there.

I have a Fender LTD model. Not a real 5F6-A, but I still love it with my Music Man Silhouette Special guitars.

Hmmm. As much as you're in love, you might want a pre-nup!!!

Oh, and

In all seriousness, congrats!!! It's always cool to find THE amp (even if it's only for a time).

Solo...and with the Family...

Yes, I know...smaller combo with a MV & 'verb is part of the mix - GREAT amp, but the Astroverb has its limits.

I'm pretty loyal to my Bassman, but I've gotta step in here...

Clearly you've never played a vintage Deluxe Reverb. At the time, those were "production" amps too. And as much as I love a Bassman, it'll never by my #1 amp as long as there's a DR in the house with a JBL D120F in it. I'm pretty sure God speaks to humans, and his voice is the Deluxe Reverb.
