Examples of fat, slow solos?

I enjoy shred guitar for about 12 seconds, at which point I lose interest. What I really like is a big, fat tone, either clean or distorted, where the soloist really milks the note. A classic would be SRV's Sky is Cryin'. Anybody have any favorite examples or have vids?

great choice, even if it has been getting trashed on another thread. that's what i love about david gilmour is the way he can play slowly and economically with great feel and phrasing.

the opening intro to Funk #49. that's pure Joe Walsh. Oh, for that matter, the solo for Hotel California. And Gibbons' work on La Grange.

"Is This Love?" Sure it is Whitesnake, but Sykes really milks that one. Still one of my favorites.

Any Gary Rossington solo. Always a fat LP tone and minimum notes.

Santana has some fat tone, slow melodic lines, with great phrasing.

Anything by Brian May. There is also an instrumental tune off his solo record which sounds KILLER.

+ infinity. That solo has so much emotion, it almost tells a story by itself. There are some great solo's on Animals. David Gilmour just knows how to kick it.

Check out The Final Cut by Coheed and Cambria. The first half is by Travis, the second have is by Claudio. The second half (Claudio's part) has a fat tone to it compared to alot of their other stuff and its rather slow in tempo
