Jetter Question - More gain/bite than a Purple?

I am a very happy owner of a Jetter Purple. Very impressive, I have it stacked on an RC Booster and a Timmy to give me lead tones, and I really dig it, very happy with it as it is, but..........

The eternal pedal quest to see if something is even better!!

If I wanted even a bit more gain, maybe a bit more bite and sustain, would the Gold or the Green perhaps do it? Or, should I leave well enough alone, and there are no huge differences between these two and the purple........

Jetter users, please bless me with your knowledge!!!!

Hey, I have a green in perfect condition with the original box. I'm more of a vintage Plexi guy. The Purple is the Jetter I have been looking at. Would you be interested in a trade.

I've owned the Blue as well. Both are great pedals, but the Green has more gain than I need. I'm looking for more of a Hendrix type of sound.

Scroll down about half way to where it says video. Watch the third video down and you will hear what the Green is like in person.

Let me know.

Thanks, but I have no intention of moving the Purple, like I said, it is a great pedal, I'm interested to learn more about the other Jetters (this is my first one), I'm really impressed with the product, want to learn if I should try the Green or the Gold (Red sounds more like a smooth/Dumble type), going to buy one if it makes sense, and then move the less liked of the two, of course, it's entirely possible I might like em both and keep em heh heh.

The video on the Green does seem to indicate it would be a next logical try for me. Does the Green have more gain and bite than the Gold? Any interest in you selling me your Green??

If I'm not mistaken the Green has the most gain of the Jetter pedals. I would sell the Green for 165$ plus 5$ for shipping. It's in excellent condition.

Green to me sounds like Hot-rodded/higher gain EL34 British stuff, too much for me, imo....Gold sounds like good ol' 6L6 a'Merican OD to me...Lonestar MESA ish maybe? idk....both sound good..I like to stack pedals, gives you more of an OD platform or stages, if you will....You should check this Rockbox deal out...Im getting ready to grab one....

I have not tried the jetter gold, but I do have both the purple and green.

The green has more gain and bite for sure. If you like the purple but want more aggression the green is probably a good bet. I love both pedals and use them both for different things.

Get the Blue.
It has a meaner gain structure than the Green, which I found way too compressed and useless as a stacker. (Had Red, Blue, Black, Green & Gold all on the board at once, only kept the Gold in the end)

I own a Blue. The GSB was designed to give you the "EJ in a box," Alien Love Child Tone. It does exactly that.

If your technique is not good, this pedal will show it. It's like a fuzz face but smoother. They advertise it as intended to be used with a totally clean amp. I never used it that way. Personally, I liked it better on an amp that is just at the point of breakup already. Once you get your amp to that point, kick in the Blue and you have magic.

It's theonly Jetter pedal I own so I cannot give you any comparisons.

@spyeman...im also heading towards the jetter purple..im just wondering if you tried it stacking with a fuzz? my fuzz doesn't like my clean fender amp, so im looking for a pedal that would give me a little marshall dirt then i will kicked in the fuzz..do you think the jetter purple is good on stacking with a fuzz? thanks

I had the Purple and sold it. For me, it needed more bite (about 25%) and gain (about 50%) if it's going to the Marshall thing.
The Gold, on the other hand, is pretty darn cool. It's like a med/high gain blues pedal. IMHO it gets that smooth lead tone, and although it's not a 'bright' pedal, it cuts through well.

The GS3, with its boost side and reportedly brighter tone, sounds like it might be the fix for the shortcomings of the Purple.

IME the Green takes up where the Purple leaves off. I had both at the same time and could dial them in to sound really close. The Green is more forgiving as to what amp you use and has a bit harder and more aggressive tone. Still, the basic gain structure is similar. If you like the Purple and what a bit more bite and sustain, then I think the Green is your ticket.
