This thing is the coolest practice tool ever invented. Each patch has three available phrase loops, so you can record verse-bridge-chorus. And you don't need to be dead-on with the stomps because not only does the thing quantize the length of the loop, but it will sync one loop into the next, so as one loop is playing, you can stomp the next loop and it will switch to the next loop in perfect time.
COOL! |

Price Point is a bit high for a practice tool
i could only see myself buying on of these if I was using it live..... Always wondered how the midi sync works with these...Anyone? |

It doesn't. There are some obvious flaws that Boss is ignoring in this pedal. Midi sync is unusable and there is a gap between when you stop a newly recorded loop and when it actually starts playing.

Is it worth the exta cash over a rc-2 or an rc-20xl?

EDP? What this be? FWIW I'm enjoying the rc20-xl I got in the emporium last week. Definitely nice quantization of loops - or else I've gotten a LOT better than when I last used the looper in my Superdelay or Timefactor. Actuallly, I'm sure it's me
