ROAD WORNS at GC...ALL THE SAME

Was at GC...looked at 4 Road worns...3 tele's and a strat...they were lined up together...thought this might be true so really looked to see...the neck wear on each one is exactly the same! At least, that's what I saw...fingerboard and back of the neck (all were maple boards)...and I believe the tele bodies were all the same wear also, front and back...
now that is interesting...you could have 2 guitar players in the same band, both playing roadworn tele's, and the wear on each would be the exact same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's amazing how we can get a new thread everyday on the Fender Relic guitars repeating the same thing the previous threads have said as if there's an original thought to be had on the subject!

Believe it or not, not everyone logs into TGP all-day or everyday. And sometimes, when you use the search function, not everthing comes up. Occasionally when you do find a thread similar to what you want to discuss it's 5 pages full of old dudes arguing about what strap affects your tone the most, or how heavy locking tuners can be and how that affects tone. Sometimes, it's just easier to start a new thread.

It'd be just like two guitar players in the same band playing sunburst's, white, red, or whatever color guitars...who cares, as long as they sound & feel good to the player .

Besides, after a while the guitars will take on the players individual wear pattern anyway...so the RW's are more like a head start in my mind .

That is because of the relic-tron 5000 relicing robot that works the line at the mexico plant that makes the RW's..he's very precise. He's also lazy so he doesn't bother to do any 2 necks differently.

Some know him as 'Bender'. The name is obviously very close..
