Custom Echo Park chassis mod

Stock echo park sounds great but was too noisy in front of my Marshall so I decided to make it true bypass. Then the project evolved from there...added a Carling tap footswitch and shielded cabling throughout internally. I used it for a long time like this:

Then I decided to add a toggle for the "analog" and "tape" emulation modes. Before it was fixed internally to the straight digital delay setting.

For the final touch, labels:

It's not easy!...I can tell you that. Getting the knob board and the main board hooked together is a pain! But it was worth it in the end since it now has a permanent spot on my pedal board.

Did you by chance come up with a fix for the slight volume boost the pedal gives when you turn it on?

The newer ones come with internal switches to disable that. Pop the back off of yours to see if there are 2 tiny switches on the board.

Mine doesn't have them but I've gotten used to the boost and now I like it.

That's interesting! Mine is one of the first to come out, but I might have to sell it and get a newer one. I hadn't heard that. It is a great sounding delay, but unfortunately I don't use it often because of the volume boost.

Where did you here that news about the switches? Nice job on your rehouse, btw.

I've seen the inside of a couple that had the switches.
