Rory Gallagher strat - new guitar day

Well, I feel a bit stupid, I bought a Rory - again! I used to own one about 4 years ago and sold it because I wasnt overly happy with it, and I was playing Ernie Ball guitars and really fell in love with them, and how well made they were. But I kept searching for that great strat tone, and came up empty handed. Bought a Road Worn strat recently, and it played and sounded so good that I began to regret selling my Rory, maybe I wouldve liked it better now? Found a used one on ebay and went for it, bloody hell what was I thinking when I sold mine??? Its a fantastic gutar, miles better than the RW, full bodied tone, great neck, its staying put now.

Rory fans rejoice!

There's one in my local guitar store that I play every time I go in. It's probably the best playing strat I've ever had my hands on. Difficult to quantize... definietly better than the sum of it's parts.

The price they're asking for it has always put me off.... but getting a used one seems like the way to go. (how would you tell if there was a ding anywhere? )

Enjoy!!!!

I've seen your clips on the Tube and really like your playing Rob. Would love to hear what you can do with the Rory.

I love the EBMM guitars, but I swear they choke the life out of them with that thick @ss Poly they smother them with.

Ah Foggy, I knew you'd catch me here! That strat thread over on the EBMM forum has be biting my tongue. This strat is the most pure strat tone Ive heard, no EBMM can do it, though I wouldnt expect them too. I'll just play both!

LoL! No worries Rob.
EBMMs can't do it all.
I crave a semi hollow for the collection plus some others.
