Dallas Guitar Show and Eric Johnson Concert Pics

A few quick observations about this year's show:

- Richard Goodsell is a super nice guy and the new black dog sounds awesome in all three versions.

- PRS amps DALLAS sounds amazing. Like the covering or not, the tone is there.

- I got to see my first Gustavsson in person. A thing a beauty. So much so, that I didn't notice the 59 burst standing two guitars over from it (picture attached).

- PRS Starla looks so good in person

- Budda's new 6v6 amps sound great and are super loud

- ERic Johnson is always so cool to watch. I took some video and may post it here soon.

Another great year.

Good show as usual. Spoke to Doug Sewell at the PRS booth. As always, Doug's a super nice guy. Wished him well with the new amps - they sounded superb to me.

Great pics. The Bursts in the first pic look like some of Tom Whitrock's (big Burst collector) as does the black 1955 LP.

That's right Todd. The six guitars in that pic are all Tom's.

+1! I'm a big EJ fan and when he played in that room 2 years ago, I left. The sound was TERRIBLE!

If you had the choice of a vintage Strat, wouldn't you choose that?

I saw Andy Timmons one time, 3 or 5 years years ago. He came out played 2 songs and then said something that cracked everybody up. Something like "wow I guess I stayed up late last night programing delay sounds for nothing".

The outdoor stage towards the interstae is the place, trees, breeze and a few grassy hills. The parking lot stage is not my favorite. It's a great show, but I miss the Auto Museum grounds over at the Cotton Bowl. Way better.

Care to guess what the 59, next to the Gustavsson, was going for? Johnny A and a couple others we're jamming on it, sounded pretty good.
