about how much is this PRS bass worth?

I rarely see PRS basses....and I'm wondering about what this one is worth.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

What is your sense?

Maybe a range, from a "low of $X, to a high of $Y" ?

thanks in advance -

Richard

Keep an eye on that auction, and you'll know soon enough.

Well, it's a two pickup, opaque model and where it's at now is more than I'd pay for a PRS bass.

Yeah, it's at the top.

i will say that i tried out one of those when it first came out, and it sounded really freaking good, like an imaginary perfect jazz bass or something. i haven't seen or heard of them since.

I wouldn't pay that much for it.

As for what it's worth, it's fairly collectible so if you could move it it might be worth your while to invest.

PRS guitars/basses are overated IMO... well, I guess the basses aren't, because I don't know anyone who plays them... but the guitars are. I've owned 3 PRS', and I'll never own another. There are too many small shop luthiers out there making killer basses and guitars to throw a bunch a money at an overbloated "custom" PRS guitar/bass.

You've really got to learn to let your feelings out.

You would prefer a suck-up ass-kissing comment like the majority of cork-sniffers 'round here? So I'm honest, and I speak my mind... I would hope that everyone else practices this as well.

The "birds on maple" on this one is kind of cool

Fwiw, these originally retailed for around $2500. J-bass vibe, active/passive. The neck is kinda like a late 50's Precision.
