Exclamation NGD! Great deal on Roadworn TELE

I finally added a Roadworn Telecaster to my collection. I have a Oly White RW Strat already and just had to have my first Telecaster! This guitar is so lightweight, and plays flawlessly. So, how much did it cost you ask???? I got it for $720 plus tax!!!! Great deal from my local shop. They had it marked at $760, but even came down from that price without even haggling!!! Here's a couple somewhat low quality pictures of it......I think the RW's are so great....

I just played it for about an hour and it is fantastic! I love the feel of the bridge, as I tend to rest my hand near the bridge and it feels much different than a strat. Very comfortable, though, and it sounds really great!!!!!

Reposting the pics in case they're not showing up:

I have a '50s RW Strat that I love to death and I finally had a chance to spend time with the alder RW Tele last Saturday at a friends house.

He's put SD Antiquities in his, and it's just a GREAT Telecaster!

I love these guitars.

Congratulations on the new guitar!

^^^^Damn, and I thought I got a steal!!!

So, I was just playing this thing and realized the neck is FLAMED!!! Is this typical on the maple Roadworns????? It's worn quite a bit, but it is most definitely a flamed finish, and it's fantastic....If anyone cares I'll try to get better pics of the neck.......

Hey, your pics are not showing up but I would love to see it. I have a sunburst RW Tele that i love. Super light weight and a 2 peice body. weighs in at 6.6 lbs which is really light for an alder body. My neck has the smallest amount of flame but its very subtle.

Sweet! I just got a 60s Strat this weekend. I didn't get nearly the deal you got, but then again, I wasn't shopping for the lowest price or I probably would have just gone with the MF special they were running last week.

Are these alder or ash bodies?

Can you see them now? Yes, the neck flame is very subtle. I barely noticed it, but now that I know it's there I notice it. I thought the neck on my 60's Strat felt good. This one is even better......

The blonde Telecasters are Ash I believe, and the Sunburst are Alder. I just so happened to get a great deal. I wish I would have bought my 60's RW Strat at the same store. I bought my Strat at GC for the full $949.....

great looking guitar, hard to see the flame in the pic. you will see how easily and quickly it begins to wear even more and developes its own look and personality. My Tele neck has already begun to darken a bit on the fretboard.

Here's an attempt to show the flame on the neck. It's hard to photograph.....

Aha, that I can see, very nice indeed!!!

I honestly think Fender is putting some very good quality wood into these first few batches. How do you explain me getting a two peice alder body 6.6lbs guitar? Evern the USA bodies are all pretty much three peice.

these RW necks are great. I've had 5-6 friends play mine (60's Oly RW strat) and all agreed it was a fantastic guitar, and a good value (I paid just under $800). None of them had ever heard of the road worn series, so it probably helped that they didn't have any preconceived notions about it. They simply judged it like any guitar they picked up to play
