The extra weight doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the lack of communication and sometimes honesty about the situation. I also commission artwork from time to time and some of those guys are the same way. I guess its something with creative people. I just think some guys need work on the business and customer service side. A little honesty and some communication will keep people on your good side.

Now weight a second! I don't mind a little extra wait, but weight is some else entirely!

So share with us - who's making a fanned fret classical? Sounds cool (I'm a Novax owner!).

Marc
i too own a novax . .hence the classical build ... hes made some fanned fret designs before but the particulars i ask for are new to him .. the tuning and specific fan span .. plus hes doing it for a price i can afford or eles other wise i probably would never be able to afford such a design ..

be happy as long as it turns out well. i had a luthier who shall remain nameless finish my custom pretty quickly- the problem was that he took liberties and went off my original design (never consulted me about the changes or things that might have been unclear) and i hated the guitar that landed in my lap.

I just got an email from a guy who builds custom delay pedals that I'm up next for his build list. I put my name on the list in 2006 I believe. I had forgotten all about it, but was glad I never sent a deposit.

some times it takes long to get stuff and some times things don't cure the way you would want, two months can be a long time when you are waiting but when you are building, it is nothing. I try real hard to quote an accurate time but sometimes parts can be backordered or even woods and it slows everything down.

hope you get it soon I would love to see some pics
