Hard to say. His tone is pretty clean and he's a plug n' play guy. I'd trying pumping the preamp a bit with a clean booster or something similar and use a Tubescreamer for solos since his solo tone is very smooth.

He does have a signature Zoom pedal coming out....but as shredtrash already said, he has always been a plug and play type of guy. I would love to check out his RK100 Cornford.
He is a damn good player too. He would probably sound badass through anything. |

I thought he favored a few of those Sobbat OD pedals.

You should be able to do it with two pedals before the amp.....
1) For the cleans, crank your amp's gain up a good bit, and then use something like an EHX Signal Pad (preset reduction to hit the amp) to mimic his signature amp's Hot switch (which reduces the signal in the preamp). A volume pedal could lower the signal, but could be hit or miss when sweeping it to find the 'spot', whereas the Signal Pad will get to the same 'spot' every time. There's another pedal mentioned here that does the same thing, though apparently better, but I can't remember what it is without searching around. 2) For the liquid leads, there are probably a boatload of pedals that would get you in his range. As mentioned already, he uses Sobbat's of some sort, maybe to give it that molten factor? ..... and some reverb/delay/modulation in the loop. There's another YouTube clip where he details his rig, and his signature pedal is in the amp's loop for reverb and delay. He uses some modulation on his recent albums, which you could also pull from his Zoom G2R, though he states in interviews he uses a Mesa Revolver. I hope to find out more details soon enough - he's touring the East Coast later this Spring.

Richie would sound like himself through any setup and you aint gonna get his tone without his fingers and his touch. Sorry, but no pedal will make you sound like him (or anyone else)

This isn't Richie, but it is an up close and personal clip of his amp. This should give you an idea of the dirt sound that comes out.
Hope this helps. Richie has been known to use the Sobbat OD pedals. Have you tried a DLS v2?
