Spaceman Rumblefuzz #11

OK guys, I dragged my sick butt to my room and made a little clip. My head is fuzzy, so I just wanked for a bit. I'm playing my Roadworn with low output Klein '63 pickups into my MK 1 Reissue.

So, if you want to be noticed as a small builder of pedals these days, you're going to have to find a way to stand out. First of all, you should build designs that are unique and musical. The Rumblefuzz does this. The effect works on the lower frequencies of your guitar signal and provides fuzz tones that don't compete with the higher sizzle of other classic effects. The Rumblefuzz goes from subtle to over the top and allows the user to choose between silicon and germanium. Very nice.

The next thing you may want to do is offer your pedals in limited, numbered batches. If you have LOTS of ideas for pedals, this is may a good way to go. The Rumblefuzz is limited to a run of 50. The stamped plate is an especially nice touch. The details like the badge and the engraved top plate that contains all of the graphics really make this pedal stand out visually.

You may also want to consider the entire presentation.

I really like the Rumblefuzz. It's unique and the trouble that Spaceman has gone to in order to present an entire package is obvious. Sure, I still like great sounding pedals by guys that employ spray paint and a magic marker, but it's nice to see someone put so much effort into their work.

Spaceman. Check him out.

Of course, they way he's going to get me is when he announces his next run of 50 and of course, I'm going to HAVE to get #11 of that one too!

And away we go!

How about a video review?

The pedal looks cool, but the sound clips are way to short and don't demo enough different things as far as playing.

Nothing will make you feel better faster than a homemade fuzz video!

Rhinocaster - I would love to see a video review too. Looks like a very cool pedal.
Get better soon!

I did a short demo (Wankaroo!). It's at the top of the first page.

The pedal has the gain up about 3/4 of the way and both the volume and the bass boost up about halfway. I start with the silicon and about halfway through switch to the germanium. I'm sure that whan I feel better I'll post a more comprehensive review with slightly hotter pickups.

Hey Rinocaster, I noticed you have have a 6v6se. I'd like to get a rumble fuzz do go along with my baby swart. What's your opinion on how they pair up?

I haven't run it through the Swart yet. If I can find the energy, I'll plug it in and give a listen.
