Sweet Honey

I'm giving it a workout tonight...

First impressions are that this is a great middle of the spectrum OD.

In terms of the amount of drive available, I'd say somewhere between Klon and Timmy.

Honey Bee clone? No - Much less finicky but has that feel, that touch sensitivity that to me makes the Honey Bee great. I find the Honey Bee finicky in terms of pickups (which is not necessarily a bad thing - Just a characteristic that I hear). With it I'd have to adjust the settings quite a bit to optimize for a Tele, Paul, and/or Strat. Not so much with the Sweet Honey.

Seems to be less compressed and not tied into the Supro sound.

The focus knob is a subtle adjustment at lower volumes, but crank up your amp to hear the ground that it covers.

A cool thing is how low-gain it can go while retaining volume.

I will not succumb to your feeble attempt to give me GAS.

Please delete this post immediately.

Describe the finicky aspect of the HBOD you didn't like.

Rocketride Asteroid - I'm really enjoying it. It's got a depth that's hard to describe. This ain't your Small Clone!

The Vibe side is dreamy. Sounds like my Vibe without the "throb" noise. Can get seasick!

Settings - What you see pictured is nice.
Amp on the edge of clean/breakup. Running into the clean end of a RetroMan DumBox for some added girth and EQ.
Dig-in for some "Hittin' the Note" leads, back off for some breathy chords. Very nice!
