Lollars (Imperials) or Bareknuckles (Stormy Mondays)?

Which work best for 335 style guitars?

lollars{imperials} or Bareknuckles

I just invested in a set of Imperials for my Heritage 535. They will be installed next week. My tech guy said that he loves Lollar imperials. Do a search for sound clips of Lollar imperials...look for "two short clips" The guitar used was a Solaway swan. Sounded great to me!

i vote for the Bare Knuckles, the stormy's are a great clean set - but dirty up nicely if need be. People here in Manchester, UK who either want that clean 335 jazz or Brit Indie tone do very well with it. Im about to fit a set into a Tokai on Saturday, I know they're going to make a huge difference. The customer is a Music proffessor at the local University - he's going to flip!

cheers

+1 on the Lollars. I have a pair of low winds which makes my guitar sound much more balanced and gives it soul. The pickups I had in their didn't have this major that the Lollars have. For an ES335 I would go for the low wind unless your playing heavy music. It's a airy loose low end as opposed to the regular wind, which has brighter high end and big tight bottom. I am happy that both my guitars are stocked with Lollars.

I'll bet you could install either set and never know the difference.
