Help! Tuners question on my Gibson LP Special double cut

My LP Special DC has the gibson tuners with the little white plastic knobs...

I cant stand them. I would like to replace them with something that has a better ratio for fine-tuning...

BUT I really hate to drill new set holes (nor require the main tuner holes to be bored bigger)

Are there any tuners out there that dont require holes to be drilled... or direct fit replacements for the Gibson tuners but much better quality?

Not sure if this is relevant to your guitar ... I just picked up a really nice single cut LP Special here on TGP, an Orville. The stock tuners are metal button, and are the only less than wonderful things on the guitar. A buddy recommended the TonePros/Kluson replacement tuners. He was excited by the 16:1 gear ratio. (I don't get the significance of that yet ...) Antique-greenish looking tulip buttons. I think they're the TPK33:

I ordered a set. Not on yet, but they're beautiful. I'm sure they'll be a big improvement.

+1, really happy with my TonePros/Klusons on my LP Standard, have had them on the guitar for over two years...
