Two questions about AM sunface nkt275

Ok, so i want to pick one of these up soon, but first i need to know some things.

1. Would it be ok to operate the sunface with a gator g-bus power supply?
2. Would it be a bad idea to place the sunface after a boss TU-2?

I hate the sound of my Sunface pedals when powered with anything besides a carbon battery but if you get a dc jack you can do it.

As for the tuner issue transister based units (like the Sunface) really don't want to see a non true bypass/buffered unit like a Boss or Ibanez pedal before them...it causes them to sound very thin and harsh no matter what you do and all the killer dymanics of the Sunface will be gone...

what about with an RMC wah before it?

just plug it in and listen, man. the wah might get lost when you kick it in with the fuzz engaged unless there is a buffer when the wah is turned on.

the mantra for most fuzz users is to get it as close in line to the guitar as possible.

In my experience the wah must come before the fuzz. ALWAYS! Problem with that TU-2 is that it is buffered I believe. You might want to put at after the fuzz to retain the "feel" and dynamics of the pedal.

i believe RMC's do have a buffer when they are on.

A buffered wah is amazing before a sunface. The sunface sounds cool before a wah as well. Definitely don't put a buffed tuner like the Boss or any buffer before it and definitely use carbon zinc batteries for power. FWIW, buffers after the sunface are not that sweet either. I have a sunface/beano boost rig and an everything else rig for that reason.

Foxrox has a wha retrofit kit if you wanna use the wha in front of a sunface. I bought it and couldnt be happier. On the other hand som folks like the wah after fuzz.

Teese FFT wahs are fine...thats what they are made for. The buffer bypass in a Tubescreamer and the buffer in an RMC wah are 2 different things.

yeah t-dog you'll want to just rock a cheap battery in there. it will last forever. and i would run it pretty early in your chain. you'll have to see for yourself if its better before or after your wah.

I liked the way my Sunface sounded before my Clyde Deluxe, but I didn't have the fuzz-friendly buffer either so I guess it'd just be a matter of trying it both ways and seeing which you liked better. I feel like my wah sounds more agressive when I have fuzz/drive in front of it, but that's just my preference after trying it both ways. I definitely wouldn't run the tuner before it, though.

Thanks for the input you guys, I've got a spot on my board cleared out for the sunface, right after my wah, and I'll take it from there. I did pull the trigger on one in the emporium and it should be here any day now, completing my pedal board.
