Modulation in delay pedals
Hi guys.
What kind of modulation in a seperate pedal should I look for to get that great DMM modulation delay sound? I have an ad-900 and a superdelay (which has a quite weak modulation imo), and I would love to get some cool modulation delays out of these together with a seperate pedal. Is it even possible? chorus, flanger, phaser? Thanks |

I have owned a Superdelay and currently own a DMM. I can tell you that there is no way to get that "magical" DMM sound from a Superdelay. Don't get me wrong, the Superdelay is a terrific pedal in its own right but it just can't do DMM. Why not just get the DMM, too?

True pitch-shifting vibrato. You need a dedicated vibrato pedal to get the DMM kind of modulation. I run a Behringer UV300 in the effects loop of my Retroman KopyKat, and it's fantastic sounding. I have the delay pedal set so that the UV300 only affects the repeats.
I wouldn't say it's exactly the same as the DMM's modulation (I sold my DMM a couple years ago, so I can't do a comparison), but it's friggin' amazing sounding in its own right. |

ditto the Behringer UV300 Vibrato...similar to the DMM vibrato.
