what pedal? I sold a Soul Bender around the same time he announced they were being discontinued --- still sold it for what I paid for it (around 125) when they were nearing $200. (all this written whilst working at a job )

i am talking about this:

grab pedal, come in here next day and sell it for 50 dollars more than what you paid for, i think it is totally unfair to forumites.

I think i don't like riding that wave, i try to respect the forumites here and please don't say, "just ignore them and don't buy" that is what i do, but i suffer when i see some good forumite been taken for a fool sometimes.

I know, you post it and someone else bought it, then more power to you, i think it is only about Karma maybe and maybe i am not into material things too much these days, just a few things i need.

I agree that it's uncool to flip for a profit right away on TGP.

I usually sell for what I bought it for if I got a good deal here.

Fair or unfair, it's simple supply and demand. If people are paying a considerable markup, then obviously that is the perceived value to those people. Same reason any pedal sells (new or used) for the price it does.

The pedal you are referring to (I have no idea which one it is) must be hard to get (low supply, wait list, etc), otherwise people would just buy it directly from the builder or some other retailer. Cutting out a long wait time adds a lot of value...to some people.

Uh...we're actually in a deflationary economic correction, midway...

If people are paying inflated prices, that's on them...of course there are supply & demand issues on certain items, but overall from where I sit things are actually going down, and will continue to accelerate over the next couple of years.

If you've got ca$h, just be patient

Perhaps you could offer to send $50 to the person who bought the inflated pedal. This could decrease your suffering.

This is dead on accurate - this country is headed for very bad times in a few more months

It seems to me whatever we say are just opinions anyway, some people will have a point of view and some will have another, we will all have a bellybutton.

Still, price isn't only ruled by supply and demand, unless you went to USA school, but if you go to a University anywhere around the world, you'll see that there are more variables that "define" what price is, and i won't loose my time explaining them.

I still think in a uprooted internet society people can say and do whatever behind a screen , but in the end, offering something to "see" if they catch some fish, well, in the world were i come from will get you a permanent vacation.

It is about of what you are about a human being, not what you can get out of a material thing.

This quote is awesome and very appropriate for TGP.
