New (old) hiwatt

Im the proud new owner of an 82' lead 100 head!

Sounded better than the reissue custom 100 it sat on top of, and was a grand less. Has the partidge tranny in her, and sounds rad as hell!

I sold my Badcat lynx 50, though i hope to continue my relationship with them.

Really great sounding amp, just a little too much horsepower in the gain dept. for me these days, and i'm starting to get the vintage bug.

Next on the list is a blonde bassman head

weeeee!!!!

yeah... keep the overdrive knob waaay down use the normal and brite volumes along w/ yer master instead!

if its an ol100, then i'm right... if it's a lead 100 from sterling imports era w/ channel switching, then...

The ol100 was one of my first intro to HIWATT, when the other guitar player in my band bought one along w/ a 4x12 cab w/ rola celestion h30 speakers(supposedly used by "eddie" on tour... was grey carpeted and heavy, he did buy it in pasadena?). He bought it after feeling he couldn't compete w/ my boogie mark IV when he had a 50watt marshall jcm800 2x12 combo.

It was really nice but.. I went in the direction of dr-103 heads cuz I love clean headroom... if you are right and it has partridge trannies(something I didn't know the ol100 had... thought it had drake), then should still have some nice cleans and plenty of volume.

If it was made after march 1981 it will not have Partridge transformers, but rather Drakes.
