Transporting a Fender Deluxe Reverb without a case

I need to transport my Fender Deluxe Reverb (which i don't have a case for at the moment) into the city to meet someone in a car. Do you have any recommendations for safely transporting it?

In the back seat tilted back at an angle has worked for me for the last umpteen years...

Just try not to make any real sudden stops or it might slide down and lay flat on the seat, which isn't the end of the world either.

Actually they say you should put an amp face down because it puts less strain on the speaker basket but either way I'd have the top nearest the back rest so the weight of the trannies tend to keep the amp from sliding off into the gap between the front and back seats.

Basically, don't worry too much about it. DRs are not that heavy or that fragile.
