New Rice on the way

Here is something that the Rice family just finished building for me. They were so hlepful, attentive and caring during the whole process. They are great! I have to publicly thank them. Thank you!

Here is a link to some photos and video of #134. I wanted this to be a replica of the Jackson strat Richie Sambora played in the 80s.

Curious why you went with the floyd if it was just going to be blocked, just to look like Richies?

Very cool BTW.

Thanks monte.
Here's a direct link to your gallery:

The trem is blocked with mahogany for extra tone mojo.

Thanks. I got the floyd because I was building a replica of something and it needed it. Other than that, when I did have guitars with floyds, i simply had them for tuning stabilty. Even my Rice #76 has a blocked trem.

Gotcha. Very cool. I love Richie's playing, so I dig the guitar.

(always was a huge fan of the 3 buckered kramer myself).

Quick story. I used to own the white 3 humbucker Kramer. Got it directly from Richie. Monster guitar. In fact, I help with the development of the newer Kramer Jersey Star. I provided all the specs for them to get it right.

I got to take a peek at that just before it got shipped off. Always loved Ritche's old Kramers. You'll definitely like that one. Congrats.

What's up Monte...Its been a while.

Nice guitar. You had one like that by GMW before...right? Its nice to see that someone will still build something like that (now that GMW will not).

That is badass.
http://www.vintagekramer.com/sambora.htm

I was too young to appreciate BJ in their heyday, but Richie Sambora's done some really cool playing.
My wife's a fan, and I ended up with a few of her BJ CDs on my rack, which I kept playing while working on the guitar.
New fan here!

What's up Brian?! Yeah...i had it a while ago from GMW. The neck was too small and crampy. The Rice family makes incredible guitars, so I as them if they wanted to try a Charvel replica. Looks like they nailed it.

Yeah...they were nice enough to give me credit for it, but no royalties
