Getting addicted to TGP ...

"Hey" from the Atlanta area.

Figured I'd introduce myself after posting a fair amount in the past month or so. Really enjoying TGP.

Been playing 30 yrs or so, mainly bedroom wanking but finally found a few friends who are more-or-less my style and am enjoying jams with them.

I should be better than I am. I know a lot of theory, but I constantly fight the battle to translate my inner music to my fingers. Dexterity is always an issue, too.

Which is not to say I can't play. Take a hundred people off the street who say "yeah, I play guitar" and I'd certainly be one of the best. But compared to the REAL guitar players who gig a lot (like a lot of TGPers), I just don't quite have the chops.

I enjoy jazzy blues the most (Robben Ford and the like), and try to play it, but generally end up more classic or jamband rock. I try some fusion and straight jazz, but damn that stuff can be hard.

I have some guitars and some amps and some pedals. Gotten into the boutique thing lately, and I think my sound is good, but I also realize I should worry more about my fingers than my gear.

But I really need a new small practice amp...

How small of a practice amp? I've got a tiny Fender Champion 600 (only a 6 in. speaker!) that delivers some VERY LOW VOLUME all-tube tone. It's pretty cool. You can pick them up on ebay for not much (less than $150).
