Vox AC30 Combo-to-Head conversion: where can I find a head case?

Hey Guys,

I've got an AC30CC1 that I run into a Grendel Dead Room iso cab and I'd like to neaten things up by taking the guts out of the combo case and putting into a head case (cue joke).

'Anybody know where I can get one or if any shop makes them?

Thanks!

Jeff.

Just a few. I'm actually having Peter Mather building a combo cab for my head. The opposite of you, go figure.
I hear both are great guys above are great. I went with Peter on a referral from Curley, and he had a color the other didn't.

Or you could just sell the combo and buy a head.

Thanks, Tubebender - I've got emails out to both guys for quotes.

silvertone - I checked them out and didn't find anything available. Thanks anyway!

Teh Pipast - ???

enocaster - I thought about that but I've switched out some parts in my "guts" to Mercury Magnetics stuff, changed the reverb tank, and I'm running some really nice (pricey) tubes as well...

Hmmm....I guess that link didn't go directly to the page. Click on "Vox" at the top of the home page, then you'll see "Vox Licensed Cabinets and Trolleys".

I would just sell the combo and get the head. That is a big reason why I sold my AC30CC1, it was just a pain to move with its shape.

If you want a head shell, you will have to get someone to make one custom for you...

Have Bob Burt Custom Cabs build you a head cab out of something like Mahogany :-)

Actually, I was thinking that solid gold might be more affordable!

Are there any options out there for less than $350?!
