tell me about the Vibro Champ XD...

found one for real cheap, i hate most things that involve digital modeling, but, it's got tubes, and i'm willing to give it a shot. i would just really like for somebody to give me a little more info on it first. HC reviews always let me down. pretty much, here's what it boils down to, if my amp fails, will the sound of this vibro champ xd be passable as decent tone? or is it just a practice amp.

all help appreciated.

IMO,,,Practice amp. Get the MO' super Champ.SCXD and get down to business. YOu failed to say what your present amp that might fail is. A marshall stack perhaps?

I'm curious what that statement is based on. Is circuit board construction, cheap components or personal experience? I've got a SCXD and it seems to be reasonably well made. Is it booteek, handwired and bullet proof? Of course not, but at the price point my opinion is that if it is treated well, it should last quite a while.

In terms of sound quality, I think it sounds better than many more expensive amps I've tried. YMMV
