DMM users, help!

Hello all you Deluxe Memory Man users. I've tried a few out and I really really love the sound. The ONLY draw back other than size is that when the signal is echoing, there is a sound like someone is pouring sand or something. It's kind of noisy and was annoying.

On one DMM I've tried I didn't notice the sound...are the other ones all faulty? Help me out

I do not have that noise you are describing. Pouring sand sounds like a static type noise?? Have you tried the new XO boxes?? Those are the ones shipping now.

But I have never heard that noise before so maybe those were faulty or were using improper power or something else. So many variables, but I definitely do not have that problem.

How loud are we talking here? Like it takes over the signal or is just discernable?

Never encountered that with my DMM.

The only sound I hear is sweet sonic honey dripping into my brain.

That could be the acid though.

He is talking about the little bit of white noise you hear with longer delay settings...

its normal...sort of the nature of the beast.

The easiest way to hear the white noise of the delay chips is at the highest delay setting, just gently play the low E string to open up the noise gate. Then you can hear the "sand sound", it's normal on all analog delays but some tune more of it out (and more high end). See my FAQ for the tradeoffs on analog delay tone vs noise.
