Question Voodoo Labs Versa?

Does anyone know of a projected launch date and/or cost?

Looks great - 13 outputs! 24 volt switchable! No more Y-cords - I can't wait...

I was told Summer 09, but Voodoo Lab has not shared anything past that.

"With an outrageous 13 isolated output sections, Pedal Power Versa is the most versatile power supply made today, Now you can eliminate those noisy wall warts from your rig with a single solution, Versa can easily power all your 9-vOlt classics, plus today's high-current effects including TC Nova, Eventide, Radial Tonebone, MXR, Electro-Harmonix, and many more, Two dedicated and isolated AC outputs can power everything from a MIDI faatcontroller, to a Whammy, wireless unit or vacuum tube overdrive, Versa uses our exclusive low-noise toroidal transformers, and is isolated, filtered, regulated and short circuit protected, Sound better today and get the most advanced power supply ever made, Pedal Power Versa, Cables and detachable AC power cord included."

I wonder how many "high current" outputs it's going to have? If it's something like (6) 9/12v's, (2) 18V, (2) AC outs and (3) high current outs, it would be pretty sweet.

I just got an email back from VL, no expected launch date yet - doh! I believe they will have outputs switchable to 24 V even. No more y-cables! Wahoo!

I cant wait for the Versa to come out.
Itr will make my board neater, light, & easier to swap things out since I have a pp2 & 3 wall warts mounted underneath w/ cables zip tied in place

Voodoo Lab makes some excellent products, and they offer good service after the sale too. Unfortunately, they suck at bringing new products to market in a timely fashion. It usually works like this:

1) Announce new product at a trade show, show pictures, list features of said product. At this point, actual delivery to store shelves is 18 to 30 months out.

2) Advertise new product in magazines. Delivery is most likely still 8 to 12 months out.

I own a Pedal Power 2, and would like to upgrade to a Versa. Anytime soon? Highly doubtful...

I saw a picture of this somewhere and it looks huge though. Like the Flatliner. For me it would only work if I could place it under my pedalboard (TrailerTrash) I would love to have this power my MIDI Controller, 3 Eventide Pedals and POG2 etc.

Just found a product info brochure on upcoming Voodoo Labs products, including the Versa. The Sparkle Drive "mod" sounds really cool too:
