New Pedal Day! Stomp Under Foot VRH - Big Muff Violet Ram's Head Clone

Just unpacked this after work tonight and immediately plugged it in!

This is a VRH #19 - A Violet Ram's Head Clone by Stomp Under Foot, a new boutique pedal builder from MA.

This is obviously the honeymoon phase, so I won't go into to many details here but I will say 3 things. . .

1. Holy Shit, This pedal sounds Glorious! A beautiful blooming woody Ram's Head Big Muffy goodness with ease! I can't believe you sell these pedals for as cheap as you do, Matt. Vintage Muff tones abound here!! Without any doubt, the best vintage ram's head clone I've ever tested.

2. This pedal has a wide range of tone, gain, and level - unlike other Ram's Head Clones I've owned.

3. This pedal looks great. Sparkly Violet. The guts look to be very clean and well-built!

Full Review to Come Soon. . . time to go plug back in and wake up my neighbors!!!

Thanks Matt!!!! - I'm very happy so far! A great pedal and a great deal too.

Nice to hear. I've really gotten into BMPs in later years.

FWIW, the GGG-tuned BMP DIY kit is identical to the VRH Muff, aside from just two (I think) resistor value changes.
(time to start playing "We don't NEED nooooo education......")

I'm the same way. I've owned no less than 10-12 BMPs and clone varieties in the past couple years. I've gone through the Skreddy Mayo, GGG, StressFX, Little Big Muff, NYC Muff, and so on.

So far I really am instantly bonding to this VRH. After extensive testing tweaking I hope to post some clips and offer a full review. Next on my list is a light OD pedal to boost the VRH.

Just a quick note:

I played my first gig last night with the VRH pedal on my board!

WOW!! WOW!! My sound was killing it! This pedal rules. The gig was an open jam night and I got up with some friends and proceeded to tear into some spacerock - the VRH pedal was right at home here!

Matt, again, I love the pedal! I'm glad you are seriously considering putting this pedal into your lineup!

Thanks for the great review. Due to all the great reviews on these I just added an updated, slightly modified version to my line.
