Perhaps my goofiest question yet, re: Bassman & Pvy 50

So I've got this pre-effects loop Peavey Classic 50 that is my club amp, and I am actually pretty happy with it, so this is a hypothetical, yet hopeful, question.

I also have a Fender Bassman 50 Silver Face head, handwired, a good model but not the most desirable of that era (the one that folks mod/upgrade to). I forget which model this one is.

So, my feverish brain, is there any possibility of putting the Fender Brain into the Peavey Body?

If so, if it is a worthwhile sort of thing, is it then possible to add an effects loop, or am I talking total Anathema?

Thanks,
Goofy

I'm voting no...I like where you're trying to go but that seems like alot of effort. YMMV.

Well, it depends on what you think is "worthwhile". You'll definitely have to change the tube placement on the head. Maybe getting it to fit into the Classic 50 cab will be easy, maybe it will be a complete pain. You could do the super easy thing and just run the speaker cable from the Classic 50 to the Bassman and make sure no one can see the Peavey controls =P
