Where do you recommend I buy a Lefty flame or birdseye replacement strat neck?

I have a Strat style guitar but the neck that was made for it kind of sucks.

So, I want to have a maple neck made for it that is flamey or birdseye maple. I went to Warmoth's site and they have a neck that is highly figured birdseye for $357 before I add the finish, nut cut out for the floyd nut and frets...

When it's all done it's over $500 for a freakin neck!

I know I can buy a low price plain maple neck but this guitar deserves a nice neck.

Is there a lower priced option that will make me a killer neck? I can wait...just want it to be great with awesome fret work and really great looking...

Also, remember I am lefty which complicates things a bit.

Thanks

Flamed wood is quarter-sawn. Quartered wood is the best for a bolt on.

Birdseye can be very heavy in comparison.

www.edenhaus.com is a bit less than the others, and the profiles are nicer, to me. They do contract work for Fender, the quality is Fender.

Warmoth necks can be overtly clubby out of the box. The thinner ones are even kind of thickish.

Figure used to be about $20 more. Ahh.... the boring old days.

I've got three Warmoth guitars.
One with a birdseye maple and one with birdseye/ebony.
Onother one with Indian rosewood/ebony.
All play super.
The birdsey's I've had for over 15 years.
Couldn't be happier.

I agree....go with flamed over Birdseye

I don't know if it means anything or if it's just luck of the draw but I've seen more birdseye necks with issues than flamed maple.(warpage,twisting,etc.)
Warmoth makes an overall quality product,IMO.

I have a USACG maple/maple neck, that is the *BOMB*. They're not cheap though. That $159 deal is CRAZY!!

I think Musikraft in NJ also makes really good necks, and they are way less, and also Fender-licensed.

I have had a quarter-sawn maple Musikraft Tele neck with a birdseye slab fretboard, for going on six years now that has never really needed more than a minor truss rod adjustment - and I live in Michigan. I have been real pleased with that neck. Good quality at a good price.
