Peavey buying Gibson

Just hear about this from a good friend, anyone has heard this to confirm?

This almost happened once before.

If it does happen Hartley will whip things into shape in no time.

In light of everything that has been going on at Gibson...I think this would be a good thing.

Wow. I wonder if Peavey would really make that work. He is definitely a good businessman. Would people see it as bringing Gibson down a notch though?

I think people see it as getting rid of a corrupt current ownership. I don't think we will see a return to the Norlin era, I think we would get quality guitars and a little respect from the company itself.

Doesn't Peavey have a reputation for building solid stuff that lasts for a long time? It may not be high-end gear, but that sounds like quality in my book.....
