Barber LTD vs Direct Drive LG

I'm curious what differences between the Barber LTD and the DD Low Gain are. I'm looking for a low gain overdrive for a good blues/rock tone. I'm using a tele with a P90 bridge pup and a strat neck pup into a clean Fender Super Champ XD.
Thanks
Tim.

I don't have the LTD but I do own the DD LG ... I think the LTD has less mids than the DD LG, maybe more blackface Fenderish perhaps?

FWIW I love the DD LG ... I have a Deluxe Reverb so it helps to have a little more push in the mids.

The are both low gain overdrives, but the voicings are different.

Hmmm, I demo'd both while making my decision and found the ltd to have the more mid'ish screamer type voiceing. The DDLG seemed to be the more flat eq'd or transparent of the two. The DDLG is the one still on my board.

Really, OK, I don't own the LTD so I appreciate the info .. anyway I find the DD LG to be just about perfect in its voicing, so that is my recommendation.

I prefer the LTD SR. If you can, you should try all the Barber pedals and see what suits you.

I have the LTD SR as well. Great pedal and flattest EQ of the bunch.

Do they both have roughly the same gain? I have an OCD that I like a lot for medium gain stuff, but I want something that does low gain better. Sounds like I can't make a wrong decision between the two...

See, this doesn't jive with the above post ... that's what I thought .. the LTD has the flatter EQ ... oh wait .. the SR is voiced differently than the standard?

I have BOTH the DD LG and the OCD.

The DD LG has less gain than the OCD for sure but suprisingly can go pretty high for its name, but it is a low gain pedal. It does a terrific low gain overdrive. I recommend using the tone knob pulled out for less compression and run it 18v!

The DD LG has a little less mids than the OCD in HP setting and a little more mids than the LP setting ... its between the LP and HP as far as mids .. also the DD has less bass than the OCD. There is an internal trimmer but its not the same. Both are bright but in a different way .. the DD LG has a thinner top end, can get a little shrill esp. with the tone knob pulled out. I keep the tone knob off, turned to 7 o'clock.

The LTD SR has a flatter EQ than the standard LTD. Yes, voiced a bit differently. To me I think they are very different pedals.

Have both (LTD silver version). In a nutshell, LTD voicing more black panel Fender, DDLG more Marshall (JTM45-Plexi).
