Fuzz for leads?

Playing a Strat into a Mesa Boogie 5:25 Express. Looking for a nice fuzz for leads to be used on my dirty channel for leads.

$150ish price point.

(shameless spam), but I've got a Lovepedal Dragon in the emporium. All silicon, which I've found best for leads (and is why I'm selling it - I use fuzz more for rhythm and prefer germanium), and with the character knob, you get a tone of different voicings. I really love it setup for a tonebender sound, or a dirty/fuzzy tone (about noon on the knob) when going for fat, sustaining leads that still have cut

Big fan of the foxx Tone Machine. Never ABed them, but the old and new ones both sound good to me.

I think you need to give us more info, but I'd recommend the MI Audio Neo Fuzz (or GI) as they're very tweakable. Most fuzzes have a hard time cutting through the mix bit the added EQ options make these very versatile. If you're not looking for a specific fuzz tone I'd recommend these or the Musket Fuzz or maybe the Hoof Fuzz. If you're looking for a specific fuzz sound the it's different...

I have to agree with aquadog, out of maybe a dozen fuzzes that I've tried the Dragon is one of, if not the, best for lead, stays clear with the guitar vol full up, whereas some of the Ge ones get a bit woolly, works well with single coils and humbuckers. Hartman BC-108 is also good.

Many of us love the AnalogMan SunFace, and it is very popular for several good reasons, including versatility and ability to go from clean to gnarly and points inbetween via your gtr. volume...I don't have that Boogie and maybe the cleanup part doesn't matter as much for that application, but it's a great classic fuzz done right.

I guess it depends on what you want sonically. A ToneBender (the BYOC is great and well within your price range) is more bone-crushing when cranked, if that's what you like...

Lovepedal Karl is a very cool lead fuzz. There are some samples on lovepedal's site and youtube.

Keeley Fuzz Head is a nice thick "vintage" sounding fuzz.

Save $50 more and get the Sunface, you'll be glad you did.
