New Robben Ford, Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz coming out...

They're all listed at the Abstract Logix site... with even more good stuff.

Not only Wayne, but we got to see the equally magnificent Keith Carlock and Tim Lefebvre and it was a freaking revelation to see this trio. It took years of persistence and phone calls to Wayne to record this trio in studio and to work with us. And finally it happened. We welcome the amazing Wayne Krantz to our roster that already features three of the most important voices in Guitar today - John McLaughlin, Jimmy Herring and Alex Machacek. We certainly hope that Krantz Carlock Lefebvre! gives you the same excitement that it has given us. Honestly , no one does it like Wayne Krantz. YES NO ONE !!!!

We certainlywould live it if you give this record a listen and we hope you support Wayne, Keith and Tim who have put so much into this genre defying recording.

I have Soul on Ten.Nice cd but alittle odd as its a live album but with two new studio tracks on the end.Maybe he's fulfilling contractual obligations for the record company?
I'm looking forward to the Jing Chi Mk2 cd with Ford,Landau & Co,that they are recording this autumn.

Already have the Krantz on order- looking forward to it, and waiting to see how he's incorporated his vocals into the music.

I got the new Mike Stern, Big Neighborhood.

It is pretty different for him. Steve Vai on 2 tracks, Eric Johnson on another. It has more of a hard edge to it and a lot of shreddy stuff.

I really like Mike's angular, jagged-sounding playing but I think I like the more straight bop stuff than this rocked-out sound. Anyway its still pretty good, just different than most Stern.

I just got it a few days ago and really dig it. I don't own any other Stern stuff.

Another weird thing about Robben's new album is that it is live, but he redid his vocals in the studio... I think it sounds kinda strange... Great live playing though..

After a Seattle gig, Robben mentioned to a friend of mine that a new Jing Chi project is coming up. Different drummer though, and I'm not sure who.
