Unhappy Wampler Super Plextortion volume issue

The thing is there isn't enough volume output in the SP. Have to really crank 3/4 the volume to achieve unity.
So far, so good, no problem with that and I really love this pedal

But I need a volume increase for solos or loud parts, and I do not have more to go.
Anyone have any mod? (besides sell?)

As you can notice I live in south america so it would be expensive if I want to send the pedal to Brian for modding
For that reason a week ago I asked to him for any guide to swap or fix myself "Idunnowhat"...but I assume he might be busy, because no reply at all

I do not need any schematic, just know how can I get more output

I would really appreciate your help, please

I have the same exact problem nad I contacted Brian and he said that it is a design problem and there is nothing that can be done with this issue, that''s why they discontinued it. Its a real shame, because de pedal really sounds great, but that lack of volume is a real issue.

I didn't know the SuperPlex was discontinued! Glad I got one when I did. It's a great pedal, and the output volume isn't an issue for me, as I don't gig with it.

Strange. I have the Plextortion and unity gain on that one is at 8 oclock. You can hardly turn the volume knob at all before its to loud.

Same here. The regular old Plextortion has a crazy amount of volume on tap.

The Plextortion is a lot louder, but they're totally different circuits.

And, yeah, the Super Plex volume issue doesn't affect everyone, the same exact pedal (not model number, serial number) may have just enough to hit perceived unity for one user, but plenty of output for another. Higher output guitars tend to have more of a "will it do it?" issue than lower output ones, but even that isn't universally true.

It was way worse with the 4-knob model than the 5-knob model, for what it's worth, but that doesn't help people who have the original. The switch to the 5-knob was a chance to up the output all around, but in the lower gain modes it can still struggle if you've got a setup that it doesn't want to play nice with.

A buffer before it and a clean boost after it can be workaround "fixes," but we'd rather just redesign the circuit from the ground up to be better all around. I've seen some of the "workstation" pictures and heard a clip of what Brian's got in the works to replace it and I think it'll satisfy those who love the sound of the Super Plextortion, but it shouldn't have any issues with volume output under any circumstances. We definitely want to have a pedal in the lineup that does what the Super Plextortion does soundwise, and more... But it's a rock-and-a-hard-place situation, and so we picked "discontinue it entirely and put out a new model" rather than field test a few circuit revisions to see if people had issues, with all of the trouble for users that can cause.

All the same, I've had a lot of email and there's been surprising interest in the super plex since we discontinued it, I'm under the impression that we might be doing a limited run of them, strictly on a "custom order" basis, for anyone who just missed the boat on the pedal.

For whatever it's worth, my super plextortion is from the time period of the FrugalGuitarist MIAB roundup, and it has no volume issues at all with my guitars, pedals or amp. It's the 5-knob variety. But if you turn your volume knob all the way up and it's not at unity, that's not going to make you happy, and that doesn't make us happy either.
