I saw them twice this tour. They're amazing live!

I've lost track of how many times I've seen them over the years, but the last show was one of the best sounding ever! And you can tell that they still love what they're doing. Let us know what you thought of the show..... It will probably be something like this.

KINGS X

My wife is at the show tonight in ATL...its at a club our band has played at twice. Should be great show (they have a great sound system there).

But....I've never heard of them! Everybody was telling me to check them out but from the youtube clips I didn't hear anything that made me want to pay for the sitter and join the wife tonight.

Any suggestions of what I'm missing tonight?

Wow this just inspired me to go and download it from itunes.... I had Gretchen Goes to Nebraska on tape when I was a kid and forgot about it.

Great album, so many memories........

Thanks!

I've missed them the last few times they've come through the Twin Cities. Bumming.

Like many of you, I can't count the number of times I've been lucky enough to see them. First show was for Faith Hope Love in '91 I think. Their stop in Cleveland this time around will be opening for Porcupine Tree...I am bummed. However, they will be at the HOB here, which is a place they probably wouldn't be booking if they were headlining, unfortunately.

They're coming to a small club, about 40m from my house, next month. Will definitely go.

Last saw them about 10 years ago, at the El Mo in Toronto. Then, before that it was the Dogman tour, also in Toronto (RPM, I think). Both were very kickass shows.

Haven't listened to much post-Dog work, have lost touch. Really loved Gretchen... and Out Of the Silent Planet in high school, were some of my favourite albums. Did give a bit of Ogre Tones a listen, though.

Your wife...having a good time. Oh yeah, you're also missing "We Were Born to be Loved"...the "ending".

It is worth it just to hear the type of tone that can be achieved live. Amazing band. Amazing guitar work. Just effortless, too.

Man, you should have gone- it was an amazing show. I can't think of a better band to see live, they are incredibly tight. I took a lady friend who had never seen them and she was blown away, as was I. It was worth the price of admission just to witness the drummer. Ty Tabors guitar tone and playing was just perfect, and Dug Pinnicks singing is beyond words - it just doesn't get any better.
Seeing them in a smaller venue like that is something that I highly recommend.
