Which glassier PU's for my MIJ RI 62 Strat?
I have a made in japan Reissue 62 strat. That was my first guitar back in '94.
At the times I changed the pickups for 2 van zandt blues (neck and middle) and a texas special (bridge). I was happy for years with the added midrange and bass of those pickups. Today I own a gibson 339, a gibson Tal Farlow, a squier fat tele with good pickups and I feel my strat is overlapping with those guitars. I prefer the midrange of my tele and my 339: I'd like to change to glassier pickups to complement the tones I've got today. What would you advice: area 58 or 67? Something else? thanks! Lollar Blondes or the Fender 57/62 are pretty glassy!

Thx!
What would be the difference between the fender 57/62 and the 69 set? |

I have Fender Tex-Mex in my 93' MIJ Foto-flame 62' re-issue, the jap pups were too fuzzy.

I finally installed a set of custom shop 69 pu's in my strat (the pu's are dated june 2002).
They're fantastic: Exactly what I wanted and i'm actually back to using my strat more than I ever did! They're a joy to play. |
