Does anybody make a pickup cover that fits a Duncan Quarter Pounder?

Seriously, this big black pickup in the back of my Strat sticks out like an eyesore, and I like to skate under the radar when I put aftermarket pickups in my guitar. I want a white cover to match the other two pickups I got, anybody make one that fits?

I've been looking for 12 years so if you find something, let me know. The Duncan custom shop would not even quote me a price to make a white QP.

Yeah, I emailed Duncan about it too and they basically told me to take a hike. I got my Strat looking very Buddy Holly with the burst, maple neck, and white pickguard/pickups. That big black bastard in the bridge is throwing off the mojo!

What about a dremel tool, or even a round rasp file, and just very, VERY carefully widening the holes on a regular pickup cover... ???

You may try Rio Grande cover for their Muy Grande pickups.

Whats the diameter of the pole pieces?

1/4" pole pieces. I looked a regular Fender cover and the cover itself would have to be widened. I don't think I could grind off enough plastic around the inside to get it to go over the bobbin.

I have two guitars with QP's in them.... I love the way they look.

If you want to cover it though, you should probably get a P90 cover.

i have QPs in my strat...I do not see how P90 pickups are gonna help being that QPs are single coils sizes and P90s are...well....P90 sized...

I don't really see how that makes sense.

I just measured the Rio Grande cover holes, they are less than 1/4".
Plus as you said the cover itself will have to be bigger.

I meant if you really hate the black color. Yeah they'll be the wrong size and you'll have to use a different pickguard, but even if you're looking at a custom made cover, it's not going to fit in a normal single coil hole because the QP is already too big.

Why don't you just paint the quarter pounder cover to match your other covers? A local hardware store can color match your other covers for free and make you up a batch of paint. I know it's not died, but it's not like pickup covers wear, they just get dirty. Might be WAY easier then trying to custom build one cover.

Yup.
Krylon makes a paint designed to adhere very well to plastic (the name escapes me), but it works very well....I'd just go grab a can of white.
Or....you could go low-tech and use a Uni paint pen.

Yeah, that makes sense! I ask for a pickup cover, and you suggest I replace my pickguard, pickup, and even the type of pickup I'm using.

There is no cover on the Quarter Pounder, just a bobbin. I thought about painting it with some model car paint, but I'll probably just leave it.

Oh...I see.
Well couldn't you just tape it off and hit it with the spray paint?
