If Creed can do it, why can't Soundgarden?

Popped in Badmotorfinger and Superunknown in the player today, where did they go wrong?

Aside from the drummer playing in Pearl Jam now, what are the rest of those dudes doing?

Creed and SG in the same sentence....lets ban this guy

Seriously Soundgarden knows the past is gone let it live on as a glorious past....not turn yourself into grunge verison of the beach boys. They worked hard for 10 years time to relax and enjoy life and do what ya want to do. Cornell just did a tour and has put out several albums of ok stuff to plain bad

chris cornell has his solo thing. there are rumors of a possible reunion in 2010 though, which could be cool. the band minus cornell recently played a couple songs in seattle.

Chris Cornell is an AMAZING vocalist, songwriter, and artist. From a singer's point of view, I'd rate him in my top 10 rock vocalists easy, if not my top 5.

Soundgarden was great for the 90s and was highly successful. I think Chris was able to be progressive and wind himself through the changing times.

The rumors of a box set and reunion are a lot more solid. Kim has spoken about both recently.

That said, Cornell made his first genuinely awful album last time around. "Scream" was exactly what I did when I heard Cornell repeating the same bland, adult-pop chorus over a looped Timbaland beat.

It ain't 'integrity'...I'm sure at some point Soundgarden will reunite. Whether it be a tour, album or other

correct me if i am wrong but i thought i heard on the local sd station that a reunion tour was in the works. i heard "say hello to heaven" last nite. r and r vocals dont get ANY better than that. i would have loved to be in that studio when he was doing those vocals.

Question

I heard that Cornell really shredded his voice. Polyps and tears in the larynx and just isn't up to that kind of material any more. Anyone else can confirm?
