Matchless Chieftain clones?

Hi. I'd like to know if there are any Chieftain clones being made out there? Or if there are kits one can buy? I'm GASing (btw, what the h*ll does GAS mean? :P) for a Chieftain, but they're too expensive!

I have never seen a Chieftain clone, but my 96 Chieftain is an amazing amp! Likes to be turned up, but a glorious tone no matter what. Also, it cuts through a band like no other amp I have ever owned, but without the harsh highs. Really has its own tone. If you find a good clone, let me know!!

Rock on.

I have a good one, it's a 97. Of all the Matchless amps I have owned I think the Chieftain has the sweetest overdrive. You could use this amp w/o pedals very easily.

I paid $1800 for my '98 1x12 Cheiftain. They are expensive, but affordable if you have time to save up, and VERY worth it. Best Matchless I've played to date.

Stormin!

I've been using a '96 Matchless Chieftain 1x12 for about 5 years now. So far it's still irreplacable.
