VHT/FRYETTE Deliverance

Yo, I got a Deliverance 120 a couple of weeks ago. I hadn't played one before but it was worth the risk.

WOW... it's great

A really really responsive and dynamic amp. Lot's of tones hidden inside - inc lots of EVH tones. It can easily do the hot rodded JMP thing and I'm not 100% sure why, but, the way it handles reminds me alot of a DR103. I've always preferred single channel heads and using the guitars volume to go between clean and gain and this amp excels at that.

I see a couple of Metal and Metalcore bands that use them and I can see why, it's super tight and articulate with massive balls and bass.

Downsides - it really does miss an FX-loop, although Fryette say there's plenty of room inside for one to be fitted, any one fitted?

What speakers are people using? I'm using some 1973-75 Greenbacks.

That's the intensity of the lead channel on a black dot Mark III.

Will he put an FX loop in it for you? That's the one reason I never owned one of these.

I tried a number of cabs with my D60, and ended up preferring the Deliverance 4x12. It's a great match for the D head.

Great $%$# amp! One of my favorites even though I prefer el34s to kt88s usually.

I'm getting a loop put in mine. It should be back by the end of the week. I'll let you know how it is. Maybe I'll post a vid if I'm feeling adventurous.

I use an Orange 4-12 with V-30s and a Carvin 4-12 with V-30s. The Orange is tighter but I like the Carvin alot. I'm thinking of getting the Deliverance cab for it. I like the D cabs but not the other VHT cabs. They have the same speakers, P-50s or something, right? The D cab sounds more woody and dark.

I wonder if you can buy the VHT speakers sans cab.

Mind if I ask how much the loop mod cost? A video would be great. I've no idea about the VHT speakers, I think they're made by Eminence? I'm not sure if the greenbacks Im using are the best choice.

I'll let you know. somewhere around $150 is what I was told. It's just a standard serial loop for now. A buffered parallel loop would be around 3-400.

Depending on whether or not my effects units work well with the serial loop, I will either keep the serial or go for the full buffered loop.

I play mine with a Bogner OS 2x12 with V30's that I like a lot. I use a Suhr ISO line out to two Tech 21 power ENgines for efx.

I love this amp and this set up!

The speaker VHT used was the Eminence P50E. Eminence doesn't sell them, but you may be able to get them from Fryette directly.

Sounds good, once you have the serial loop in, you could always add Suhr mini mix2

I tried that first, putting the P50E's in an Uberkab (which I love in stock form, with the Uberschall). Not the same, or even close.
