Exclamation my 335 has surpassed my LP

Been a Les Paul guy forever but I picked up a 335 a couple weeks ago and I can't put it down. I love the cleans on it, but ironically, I'm more a dirty blues & rock player and this thing is perfect. It's got signature Gibson tone through a driven Marshall, but with a little extra something in there. I find the Classic 57's to be very versatile having a decent clean, then a pretty nasty mean with gain. And it seems to add a certain woodiness or 3D dynamic that's not as apparent with the Les Paul. Maybe its the honeymoon, I don't know. But I find myself playing it much more, and playing in a more experimental and different style than before. Like I'm inspired to do more with it. It's very fun. I thought about going with some new pickups to get even nicer cleans; WCR Crossroads, Voodoo 59's, Seths, Ants, something else. but I don't want to change what's working for me right now. Although I think zebras would look great. Oh, I did add a set of the new Grover grip-lock tuners, they are great and look like regular tulip tip metal Grovers.

Sweet guitar! If it works for you now, I wouldn't mess with it. (yet)

Wow-- great looking burst! Paintguy is right-- leave it be as you're getting to know it. The 335 is a fun guitar to play, though in my case my all-time favorite tone came from a Les Paul Standard Plus. Got rid of it because I couldn't get used to the neck, but man did that thing sound sweet! The 335 sounds nice, is very versatile and practically plays itself. I do love that guitar!

Nope, just a regular 2009 Dot with the thin neck. And I also prefer the plain tops.

Gibson guy here. I'm really happy with my Les Pauls, but I'm sure I'll add a 335 to my arsenal some day. Lovely bluesy tones out of these guitars.
BTW, very nice looking guitar you got there!

I love my 335 Satin finish. I picked one up a couple years ago for $1800 new. I see they've increased the price to $1250 now. Anyway it's just a great guitar.
