Matchless Independence Sounds Unbelievable

I had a life changing tonal experience the other night. We played on another band's gear, and I used the guitar player's Matchless. Every time I've played one before in music stores, homes, guitar shows, they sounded really edgy and bright and I basically dismissed them. Well, I brought my pedalboard and L Series Strat and people were raving about the sound of that amp. It was magic. Fat, chewy, powerful, solid. What a great amp. I've been gigging with smaller blackface amps, and that Matchless basically blew them away. holy smokes.

I have one and love it..If you know how to use your volume knob on your guitar it's an incredibly versitile amp. I run the gain at noon and just roll back for cleans. Great amp for blues tones up to modern rock with great cleans too..
