I own it, but just want to know it's exact info.

Check the control cavity and see if there is an 8 digit number impressed into the ledge where the cover attaches. If so, go here...

http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Support/SerialNumberSearch/

That will give you much more info than the number on the headstock, which may have been repeated on dozens of guitars.

If you know it's a Classic then it is either a 2000 or a 1990

The info I found does say that 1990 was the first year for the Classic.

A 2000 Historic 1960 reissue could also have the same number ... but that guitar would be number 815 and I doubt there are that many 2000 R0s.

Some experts consider the early Classics to actually be more accurate reissues than the early pre 1993 Historic reissues ... In 1993 the Historics surpassed the Classic in accuracy

If it says Les Paul 'Model' on the head stock, it's a 1990. If it says Les Paul 'Classic' then it's a 2000. The changed to the 'Classic' in early 92. I've never see a classic in Gold. Pics?

So mine was made in 1990 from your info.
It says "Les Paul Model" on the headstock, "Classic" on the truss rod cover & "1960" on the pickguard.

Yeah, it's all gold.
Pics are coming, I'm thinking about selling it.

Definitely sounds like a 1990 Classic. The serial number and features you've described all point to 1990. In 2000, Classics serial numbers went to six digits (00XXXX).

Yes, you have a good one! These guitars can very easily mimic a historic and will bring more money than the later Classics. Too, the inlays are not green like the later 90s versions, so it's really a pretty cool guitar. I had an early 92 'model' just before they changed over to Classic. I took that Classic trussrod plate off and put a blank one on to make it look like a historic. No one could tell it was a Classic from a casual glance, of course there are other ways to tell once you open it up.
