Broken input jack

Hey my input jack recently broke, and the what i did was unscrew that jack out and noticed what was wrong was that the white wire was disconnected. Must've ripped off somehow. Anyhows what would you guys consider a fair price for a repair? I don't wanna get ripped off at some mom and pop's shop.

What guitar is this on? A soldering iron from Radio Shack is <$10 and it sounds like a pretty easy repair. There's not much to damage when you're working on the output jack. Shoot, depending on the guitar you might be able to use this opportunity to upgrade the jack. Switchcrafts are only a few bucks!

That guitar probably has a decent jack. Repairing that is a 5 minute job.

5 minutes...and 4-1/2 of it is waiting for the soldering iron to heat up.

Soldering gun................ $12.
Time to get the strings and PG off then solder the wire back on............7 minutes.
Learning how easy this stuff is AND saving $40 and a week without your guitar...................Priceless!

It's a Strat, so it's even easier. No string or pick guard removal required.

True! If the wire is disconnected from the output jack itself it is just a 3 minute job.
