Casino specs (or similar) but not an Epiphone?

What brand/model has the specs of the Casino (or similar) but is not an Epiphone? I know about the Gibson 330, although the neck joins the body at the 19th fret instead of the 15th. Any others? Cheers!

These things are getting some pretty good buzz around the web:

http://store.guitarfetish.com/xvsehoalp90d.html

There's a couple of review sites (google em) where guys are playing them, they sound great, at least on a computer video. Jay and the guys seem to have worked a bit harder on these to get em right. They'll do a return/exchange if you don't like what you've got, too. They're a tad low-end, wouldn't compare to a 330. Thought to compare favorably to an Epi, though.

I play mediocre blues on:

A Guild (westerly RI) 12 string dread
A beat-up Japanese (Conrad) dread with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides,
An Epiphone Riviera Deluxe with GFS pickups, through a weird modified Guild amp I got from Champlifer, here.

Hmmm, to answer your question in a word: none.

It seems the differences between the Casino/330 and these

http://store.guitarfetish.com/xvsehoalp90d.html

are too distinct: The casino/330 is entirely hollow, the neck joins at a different fret, etc.

Speaking of that, the casino and 330 shared the exact same specs until the late sixties when the 330 went to the longer neck.

Is a general anti-Epiphone bias the basis of your question? The epi Elite Casino is one helluva $1000 or under (used) gtr.

+1 For The Epi Casino Elitist! Mine is dead stock but for a shim under the bridge pup. That is the only mod it needs IMHO. Great value for money which is getting increasingly hard to find these days.

No bias at all. I was mainly hoping for brand/model recommendations that I could play before committing to buy.
